Why is my OKR at risk?
An OKR shows as at risk when its health score falls below 75. Here are the most common reasons and how to address them.
Key Results are behind pace
If one or more KRs are progressing more slowly than expected for the point in the cycle, the OKR health score falls. Check the progress of each KR and update the current value if it hasn't been logged recently.
A KR owner has marked it at risk
The KR owner manually set the status to "At risk" or "Off track" during a check-in. This is intentional — it reflects their honest assessment. Read the check-in note for context on what is causing the risk.
No recent check-ins
KRs that haven't been updated within their expected window are marked overdue. Overdue KRs reduce the OKR health score. Encourage owners to check in weekly.
Improving the health score
- Log an updated current value on each KR
- Update the status if the situation has improved
- Add a check-in note explaining what changed
