The health score is a single number (0–100) that reflects your organisation's overall OKR and KPI health at any moment. It appears on the dashboard and updates automatically as your team checks in.
What goes into the score
The health score is a weighted combination of:
- OKR progress velocity — are KRs moving at the expected pace for where you are in the cycle?
- Check-in frequency — how consistently are KR owners logging updates?
- Connection rate — what percentage of OKRs are connected to a parent?
- Ownership coverage — what percentage of KRs have an assigned owner?
- KPI health — average progress across all active KPIs (if KPIs exist, weighted at ~30%)
Score ranges
- 80–100 — Strong. OKRs on pace, team checking in regularly.
- 60–79 — Good. Some areas to watch.
- 40–59 — Needs attention. Check-in frequency or connection rate may be low.
- 0–39 — At risk. Significant gaps in execution or coverage.
Health score vs OKR status
The health score is different from OKR status (On track / At risk / Off track). OKR status reflects whether a specific KR is likely to hit its target. The health score reflects the overall quality of your OKR practice — including how often people check in, whether OKRs are connected, and whether KRs have owners.
Improving your score
- Assign owners to all key results
- Connect all OKRs to a parent using the Alignment Map
- Encourage weekly check-ins
- Set targets on any OKRs marked "needs setup"
