Initiatives
Initiatives are the projects and activities that drive your Key Results. They connect work to strategy — showing what your team is actually doing to move the needle.
Creating an initiative
Go to Initiatives in the sidebar and click + New initiative. Give it a title, assign an owner, link it to a KR or OKR, and set a status.
Initiative statuses
- To Do — not started yet
- In Progress — actively being worked on
- Blocked — stuck and needs attention
- Done — completed
Tracking progress
Click on any initiative title to open the update panel. From here you can update the progress percentage and add a comment in one action. Progress is shown as a bar on the initiative card in both list and kanban views.
Progress roll-up to Key Results
When initiatives are linked to a Key Result, their progress rolls up automatically. If 2 initiatives are linked to one KR, each contributes 50% to the KR's progress. The weighting is equal by default and adjusts automatically as initiatives are added or removed.
Kanban and list views
Switch between kanban and list views using the toggle in the top right. Both views show the same data — use whichever works best for your team.
Integrations
You can link initiatives to Jira, Asana, Linear, or ClickUp issues. The linked issue status syncs daily so you can see whether the underlying work is on track without leaving OKRs Tool.
Sharing initiative progress
Generate a shareable link to your initiatives list from the Share initiatives button in the page header. The link shows a read-only view with status, progress, and last comment — no login required.
