Performance reviews in OKRs Tool connect directly to OKR progress — making quarterly conversations more objective and grounded in real data rather than memory.
How reviews work
Reviews follow a three-step flow:
Self-review
The team member reflects on their OKR progress and submits their own assessment.
Manager review
The manager sees the self-review and OKR data, completes their feedback, and rates OKR delivery (1–5 stars).
Shared summary
The manager shares the combined summary with the team member. Both sides can draft next-cycle OKRs directly from the summary.
Creating a review cycle
Go to Reviews → Cycles and click + New review cycle. Set a name, due date, and choose who is included. You can also select a review template — the default templates cover both self-review and manager-review questions.
Review templates
Go to Reviews → Templates to create, edit, or duplicate templates. Each template has configurable questions and an optional ratings toggle (1–5 per question). Select which template to use when creating a review cycle.
OKR alignment score
When a manager opens their review form, OKRs Tool automatically shows the reviewee's KR progress for the cycle — current value, target, pace indicator — alongside the review questions. The manager rates overall OKR delivery on a 1–5 scale before sharing the summary.
Visual summary
After the summary is shared, managers and admins see a visual breakdown including an OKR delivery score dial, AI-extracted theme tags (strengths, growth areas, next cycle focus), KR performance bars, review history chart, and an AI narrative summary.
Next cycle goals
At the bottom of the shared summary, both the employee and manager can draft OKRs for the next cycle. Drafts can be converted to real OKRs with one click.
Schedule 1:1
On a completed review, click Schedule 1:1 to create a Google Calendar event for both manager and employee. The event is auto-populated with key review highlights. Requires Google Calendar to be connected under Integrations.
