The OKR Retrospective is an AI-generated cycle debrief that summarises what your organisation achieved, what fell short, and what to carry forward into the next cycle. It is triggered automatically when a cycle's end date passes.
Generating a retrospective
When a cycle ends, a banner appears on your dashboard prompting you to generate the retrospective. Click Generate retrospective. The AI analyses all OKRs, KR progress, check-in history, and health scores for the cycle and generates a structured debrief within seconds.
You can also access retrospectives from Settings → Cycles — click View retrospective next to any completed cycle.
What the retrospective includes
- Cycle summary — overall health, completion rate, and key stats vs the previous cycle
- What went well — OKRs and KRs that hit or exceeded target, with specific numbers
- What fell short — KRs that missed target, with velocity analysis explaining why
- Key themes — AI-identified patterns across the cycle (e.g. "Execution strong, ambition too high")
- Recommendations — specific suggestions for the next cycle based on what happened
Regenerating
If you add late check-ins or want a fresh analysis, click Regenerate on the retrospective page. The previous version is replaced.
