Strategy canvas
The Strategy canvas is where you define the foundation your OKRs are built on. Setting your North Star, Mission, BHAG, and Annual Priorities gives context to every OKR in your workspace — and powers the AI features.
What to fill in
- North Star — your guiding purpose. Why your organisation exists. This is the "why" behind everything you do.
- Mission — what you do and for whom. A clear statement of your day-to-day purpose.
- BHAG — Big Hairy Audacious Goal. Your 3–5 year destination. Ambitious and specific.
- Annual priorities — your 3–5 focus areas for this year. Different from OKRs — higher level, the themes that guide quarterly planning.
All fields are optional. Fill in what is useful for your team.
How it connects to AI
Once your strategy is set, the AI Coach, AI Insights, and risk predictions all use it as context automatically. The AI answers questions and frames recommendations in the context of your North Star and priorities — not generic advice.
Editing strategy
Go to Strategy → Canvas in the sidebar. Click the edit icon next to any section to update it. Only admins can edit the strategy canvas.
Strategy timeline
Every change to the Strategy canvas is recorded on the Timeline page — showing when your North Star was set, when priorities changed, and how performance tracked alongside strategic decisions.
